EDI-Services for silon s.r.o.
integrated EDi communication
SILONs most important requirement for a new EDI system, was the full integration with the ERP system Oracle JD Edwards (JDE) to ensure a smooth connection and data exchange with all business partners. The implementation process started with Ideal Automotive in the first quarter of 2018 and gradually will be expanded to include the company’s other business partners.
The solution is based on the use of the TELEDIN/EDITEL EDI service, which offers transaction, conversion and database services and enables direct interconnection with the customer’s ERP system. Provided communication standards are EDIFACT, ODETTE, VDA, XML, SAP IDoc, LCS Helios, SMS, etc., all of which are available through public data networks. This solution was designed for EDI Communication with Ideal Automotive and to allow for the exchange of VDA4913 (Despatch Advice) and VDA4925 (Order) messages and conversion from and to the JDE inhouse format.
With the EDI solution provided by EDITEL, SILON sets an important step for a seamless and transparent supply chain management. The automotive supplier saves time and money and increases significantly the quality and reliability of its service, which ultimately results in an increased customer satisfaction.
